About The Blueberry Blast
Founded in 2002, the Nipigon Blueberry Blast Festival is held annually in August.
A fun-filled event for the whole family, the Festival provides a variety of services and entertainment. From music and blueberry-themed foods to goods from local artisans and crafters, children’s events and adult’s events all throughout the weekend. Even pick and eat fresh blueberries yourself!
The Blueberry Blast festival is a great way to enjoy what Nipigon and the area have to offer. It’s also a great time for former residents to reconnect with friends and family, and visit the area. The Blueberry Blast is organized and run by a central committee and aided by local volunteers.

To coincide with Blueberry season in the Nipigon area, the Blueberry Blast either runs a Blueberry Bus or has guided maps or drivers to guide you to blueberries.
